The relationship with the territory of reference is fundamental, read through the potential that it could express, the resources to be exploited, the strengths, the excellences, as well as, criticalities and failures. They inaugurate an innovative vision of education in our country, building a very close link between school, higher education and the world of work. For these reasons, the Higher Technicians who are trained through the ITS, are able to respond to the demand of companies for new and high technical and technological skills to promote innovation processes. They represent an exceptional opportunity within the Italian training system. They express the need, already experienced in other EU countries, to establish a dialogue, a direct "connection" between the world of education, training and work, with the aim of monitoring, knowing the real needs of companies, as specialized figures, also capable of implementing innovation and technology transfer processes of small and medium-sized enterprises.
