At 1.9 kilometres long, the roof of the Hofbogen is the longest roof in the Netherlands. The first section of the long roof, located on the roof of Hofplein Station, has been designed as a public park. The Luchtpark is accessible to everyone daily from 10:00 to sunset. Local residents, Rotterdammers and tourists can enter the Luchtpark Hofbogen via Luchtsingel and the entrance on Heer Bokelweg. Visitors can lounge in the grass, picnic, sit on one of the artificial sheep, or stroll through the garden with its fruit trees and shrubs, heather vegetation and vegetable garden beds. All this while enjoying a magnificent urban view. In order to collect the water coming from the Hofbogen, a rain garden is create next to the former train tracks.
